The First Time I Returned Home From Boot Camp
It was the first time in my life I was away for an entire month.
When I was in the army, I remember being very miserable in boot camp.
It was one thing to be a teenager who spends most of his time playing video games, and it was a wholly different thing to be a soldier, dress up, and be ordered around.
And then, I came back home for the first time and was greeted by my parents. I can’t tell you how it feels to go back home after you’ve been yelled at, pushed to the edge, and soldiered around for days. But I can tell you that I cried.
What’s your happy memory?
