Stop Spitting In The Well You’re Drinking From

Lately, I’ve been seeing many posts about how the platform doesn’t care about its creators.

These posts repeated themselves by so many creators that I found it ample opportunity to remind everybody what it means to be a creator:

Serving Other People

No matter where on the internet you publish your content, stop wasting time on being petty and criticizing the system. If you only create YouTube videos, you have nobody to blame when YouTube decides to change their algorithm. Same goes for Twitter, Facebook, Medium or anywhere else.

Focus on creating content that matters to your readers and publish it widely on multiple places. Have your own home on the internet to drive traffic to from those places.

Above all, when the platforms change the rules, do the only thing that matters:

Adapt.
