Over two months ago, I opened an Etsy shop. Last week I passed the $1,000 milestone in revenue. My guiding beacon has always been about giving the best customer service I could give. And six years of experience in that field under my belt certainly came in handy.

Whenever you’re selling anything online, ask yourself the most important question: Objectively, would I buy from myself? You might need to take a few days to make an honest observation. But once you do, it would change the way you do business online.

If you’re selling shirts, what are you looking for when buying the shirts you wear? What shops are doing a good job (probably your favorites) that you can research?

Learn from your own experience, and it will become a good baseline to grow your business. Good luck!
