Quality vs. Quantity Doesn’t Exist

I’ve often let the two extremes dominate my creative journey — and got nothing done.

Two weeks ago, I sent an email to my subscribers, telling them I had taken a break. Because in my mind, I wasn’t capable of producing the quality content they deserved, and my perfectionism didn’t allow me to make garbage for quantity.

And so often than not, we humans don’t see that the world is not binary.

You Can Produce a Lot of Quality Content in Shorter Chunks

If you don’t draw yourself away from the binary, you will always think you’re doing something wrong. Producing too little, too much, utter garbage, or your best work.

News flash, if you produce your best work, it means everything that comes after is of less quality. Your best is always yet to come. If you decide to be in the middle, you’ll permit yourself to produce more content in less time. You’ll find that ideas you had before make sense now, and you don’t shelve them because you’re a perfectionist.

So, how to find a middle ground between quality and quantity? Here’s how.

#1. Produce in Smaller Chunks
