Pretty amazing! Friendships should be equal or at least make a true effort to be equal. I’ve felt this on my skin a number of times in my life. I wasn’t as brave as you to face them about it, though. I simply cut ties with them. One sent me a message two days ago before Yom Kippur in Israel, answering the “happy new year” message I sent him more than a week ago in Jewish new years and not even addressing the two years we weren’t in touch.
