I Want to Visit You Again

I haven’t visited you in two years.

My best memory of you is sitting in a coffee shop, sipping hot chocolate, and thinking about how everything I see outside the window is cement, people, and skyscrapers.

If I moved, I would be all alone with my dreams.

You were made to bring dreamers together, but you are terribly realistic, to stay in for long.

The ocean is the only place where I feel connected and at peace, but your oceans are all cemented to become harbors, filled with ships for tourists.

The only part of nature is within you, where trees, water, and grass, make for a small fantastic world.

I don’t think I can make it there, but I desperately want to.
