I Miss You Vanessa

About twenty years ago, my older brother brought home a cute little rabbit. We lived in the same story in our two-storied home, and he asked me to help take care of her.
There’s something very calming about raising a rabbit. It’s not like a dog or a cat. Those pets are great, but maybe sometimes you don’t have a lot of energy available to take a dog out on walks and such.
One time, Vanessa ran away after my brother kept the cage open by mistake. And she ran over our roof.
One image I’ll never forget is my brother running after her over our roof, yelling, “Vanessa, wait!”
Good times.
