Fixing My Sleep Patterns — Day 3
Last night was terrible.

I made a terrible mistake last night. I went straight after work to the movies and saw ‘Joker.’ It’s an excellent movie, and I will probably write a review about it at some point.
But when I got home, I still felt like it was coming from work. I couldn’t let go of not having any fun or productivity, so I thought instead of 22:30, I’ll go to sleep at midnight. I came home at around 22:00.
And then I found myself still up at 1:30 AM.
It’s so baffling to me how easy it is to fuck with your sleep. I finally faceplanted in my bed at 1:47.
I woke up at 8:11 today as my phone rang, and I couldn’t fall back asleep. Who does that to people? If you take anything from today’s story — don’t call people before 10.00 in the morning!
Here’s my daily selfie. Still not seeing any improvement. Today I won’t see any improvements after sleeping only around 6 hours.
Tomorrow is a Saturday. Whether you read me or not, I’ll reiterate here that I keep Shabbat, so I won’t be able to send this report in the morning. I will share how I fared sleep-wise after Shabbat will be over tomorrow evening.
I still think that paying attention to this will be beneficial in the long-run. I could have screwed over and don’t give a shit about how many hours of sleep I’m getting each night. But I do care because this body is the only one I’ll get. I need to treat it better than I did.
