Did You Know You Can Self-Host Your Digital Products With A Ghost Blog?
Ghost is becoming a complete solution for creators every day.
As part of a production sprint before Christmas, the Ghost team recently released many new exciting improvements to their product.
One of these improvements was the ability to upload videos and files into your Ghost blog and host them directly (instead of using YouTube or Vimeo embeds or sharing your file from S3)
This feature makes life for course creators a lot easier as you’re now allowed to use just one platform to manage your course.
Imagine building a completely public page with the table of contents to your lectures, and each lesson lives on a page protected by Ghost’s paywall. You could still have a public preview for some lessons while completely locking others.
Each time you try to access a locked lecture, Ghost will ask you to subscribe or sign in. It’s that simple.
There are still many improvements to be made on Ghost itself, like offering one-time payment memberships to access courses instead of making your payments recurring, but that’s down the line.
What do you think about it? Would you publish your course with Ghost? What problems are you facing building your digital course? Feel free to reply or comment below!
