Medium already commissions content every day. They do not rely solely on you to make their profit — they rely on readers. People on Medium — paying members — are readers. The pay because the visit frequently and read great content. That is what makes Medium their profit. They share this success with you when you write under the paywall.

The only way for you to earn more is if you work harder, build your audience, email list, and engagement, or if Medium will decide to increase the monthly payment. None of us want the latter.
